With the vast array of controversial issues facing our society today, we thought it might be nice to take a break and dive into an easier controversy....cake or fudge brownies? Just kidding, we aren't even going to make you choose. Our decadent chocolate mix makes delicious brownies either way. Best of all, they're easy and fun to make.
- Chocolate Baking Mix - Entire package (only works with Mouth of Mundus brand)
- Neutral Oil (anything you have on hand will work) - 1/3 cup
- Non-Dairy Milk or Water - 1/3 cup
- Apple Cider Vinegar - 2 Teaspoons (OPTIONAL ONLY FOR CAKE BROWNIES)
- Flax Seed Meal - 2 Tablespoons (OPTIONAL FOR FUDGE BROWNIES)
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and grease a 9x9 or 8x8 pan with non-dairy butter or non-stick spray.
For cakelike brownies, add all ingredients except flax seed meal to a large mixing bowl and stir well to combine. Once smooth batter is formed, pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-35 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out relatively clean.
For Fudgelike brownies, add flax seed meal to milk and stir vigorously to combine. Add remaining ingredients, except vinegar, to large mixing bowl and stir well to combine. Once a smooth batter forms, pour into prepared pan and bake for 25-35 minutes until set in the center. Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15-20 minutes (we KNOW it's torture but we promise they're worth the wait! Allowing them to sit after baking allows them to meld into the perfect fudgey delicious brownie consistency. YUM!)
