Vegan Peanut (or nut) Butter Recipe
Use your favorite Mouth of Mundus baking mix to make this delicious and easy peanut butter (or other nut butter) cookie recipe. We bet your friends and family will never know it's vegan!
Ingredients
- Vanilla Baking Mix - Entire package (only works with Mouth of Mundus brand)
- Non-Dairy Butter Substitute or Oil - 1/3 Cup
- Non-Dairy Milk or Water - 1/4 Cup
- Peanut or Other Nut Butter - 1/4 cup
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add non-dairy butter substitute (or oil), nut butter and milk to large mixing bowl and beat together with mixer, fork or hands until smooth and butter is softened. Add remaining ingredients to bowl and mix thoroughly until dough is formed and smooth. Scoop and roll into whatever size cookies you desire and place on an ungreased cookie sheet. To get the traditional crisscross pattern press the cookies with a fork one direction and then turn and press again in a cross pattern. You can also leave them round and they'll burst into delicious crinkle cookies. Both are equally delicious. Bake at 350 for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown. These are very soft cookies so if you can handle the wait, we recommend letting them sit for at least five minutes once cooked before moving to a wire rack. Leave comments or questions below; we love hearing from you!
For an extra special treat, roll the cookies into a ball and then press a chunk of your favorite vegan chocolate bar into the top. Don't touch them until cooled so the chocolate stays where it should!
